***2020: Temporary Terms and Conditions***

For reservations made for multi-day trips after April 25, 2020 we have amended terms and conditions to reduce risk and provide flexibility:

  • $100 Deposits: Deposits are currently $100 per person for nearly all multi-day trips (normally $500.)*
  • 30-Day Balance Due: The final balance on all USA multi-day reservations will be due 30 days prior (normally 60 days.) For Phantom Ranch tours and trips outside of the USA, the final balance is still due 60 days prior.
  • Risk Free Cancellation: If you cancel your trip for any reason before your final balance is due, or we are forced to cancel the trip due to additional closures or restrictions, 100% of your deposit can be transferred or held on account indefinitely. Deposits will not be refundable.*
*All Cusco, Peru trips that utilize the Inca Trail or Short Inca Trail will have a $200 per person extra deposit in addition to the regular $100 deposit ($300 total). This is due to non-refundable and non-transferable trail permit fees made on guests’ behalf immediately upon booking.

*All Patagonia, Chile trips for private or custom groups of 10 or more guests require a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total trip cost to secure the group’s reservations. Regardless of when you cancel, we will retain this 30% deposit of the total trip rate. The final balance for these trips is due at 65 days prior to trip start date. Cancellations made less than 61 days (60-0 days) prior to the trip start date, we will retain 100% of trip rate.

Trip Itinerary Changes and Alternate Trips

All Wildland Trekking Company, Wildland Llamas, and Wildland International (the Company) trips are subject to itinerary changes based on a variety of circumstances beyond our control, including, but not limited to permit or campsite availability, snowpack, river crossings, wildlife, park or land closures, and forest fires. The price of a hiking trip will never change due to itinerary changes. Payments are not refundable for itinerary changes or park or land closures. If a trip is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control and no alternate itinerary is available a trip credit will be issued equal to the full amount paid minus any nonrefundable expenses incurred by the Company.
