Our Blue Ridge Mountains hiking tours and backpacking trips focus on the stunning Pisgah and Nantahala National Forests and wilderness areas outside Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Although not part of the Smokies, they share many of the same characteristics such as waterfalls, amazing views, wildlife, and lush forests. However, they tend to be much quieter allowing our guests to soak up wonderful mountains solitude. Our Blue Ridge Mountains offerings include backpacking/portered trips and inn-based tours. See trip style descriptions and tour offerings below.

"The inn-based trip was beyond my expectations. I was amazed at Nick's knowledge of the area. He was extremely prepared and he I was amazed at how he accommodated everybody's needs. The accommodations we stayed at were unbelievable. The company does a great job of answering all of your questions ahead of time so you feel completely relaxed before you head out on the adventure." - Peggy A.
"This was an outstanding trip. Chris Hoge exceeded all of our expectations as a guide. He was extremely well versed in his role, effectively motivated us to cover the distances we needed without pushing too hard, was upbeat and willing to tolerate our senses of humor throughout, and preformed wonders with a few handfuls of vegetables and a pot or two of creek water! The scenery was spectacular but Chris really made the trip. Making this journey with my two grown sons is one of my highlight experiences." - Tom D.
"Our trip was everything we'd hoped for, starting with the first day's three short hikes to whet our interest and learn from our guide, Nick, about the history of the area. After dinner we went out again to watch the fireflies. Challenging it was, but there was still time to enjoy the forest, plants, gorgeous blooming kalmia and perhaps most of all the quietness except for the sound of trickling water." - Mary Jane M.
