“In the Fall
of 2006, we went on the Wildland Trekking Company's South
Rim Loop Hike, and it was great. They did a sensational job
of preparing us for the hike, and our guide, Eb, was
friendly and skillful. I would recommend this trip and this
company to anyone interested in a safe, exciting, and fun
hiking trip." Walter, 42 |

Fantastic for families, small groups, or
solo travelers, this tour is a classic! Perhaps our most quintessential
Grand Canyon adventure, the Phantom Ranch Tour combines great hiking,
phenomenal views, two nights in the historic Phantom Ranch cabins,
restaurant meals, and time to explore the bottom of the Canyon.
Reservations at Phantom Ranch are extremely competitive, so we reserve
our nights there 12 months in advance, which means you don't have to
worry about it. Just sign up, show up, and have the Canyon experience of
a lifetime! You will descend the
famous South Kaibab trail to Phantom Ranch (carrying only a daypack),
where your group will spend two nights. The layover day is an
opportunity to go on a day hike led by your guide, simply relax, or
enjoy interpretive talks at Phantom Ranch. The third day you will be
hiking back to the South Rim via the Bright Angel Trail, passing Indian
Gardens along the way (an ancient spring that watered garden plots for
centuries.) Classic views, a genuinely historic experience at Phantom
Ranch, and lighter hiking make this tour one you don't want to miss!
Give us a call at 1-800-715-HIKE for more information.
PLEASE NOTE: For
custom Phantom Ranch Tours, registrations must be at least one year in
advance due to extreme demand for reservations. Also, the full trip
price is due at the time of registration for custom and scheduled tours. |
