Iceland Hiking Tours

Iceland is a vast, awe-inspiring island with volcanoes, waterfalls, glaciers, lakes, rivers, geysers and a kaleidoscope of rainbow-colored landscapes. It has an absolutely fascinating history, having been settled by the Vikings in the 9th century and since that time developing a charming and interesting culture. Iceland is, in short, an absolutely stunning world travel and hiking destination. We offer a variety of ways to explore and enjoy Iceland on foot: Hut to Hut Backpacking, Hut to Hut Trekking, and three hiking tours of the outstanding South Coast of Iceland.

"Iceland's Best Kept Secret was a wonderful trip filled with breathtaking views of the dramatic Icelandic landscapes. From ice-capped mountains and glaciers to grassy hills, I felt like we had jumped into a painting. The serenity and solitude were amazing. This was my first time backpacking and I'm so glad I chose this particular trip. I was impressed by our gear provided by Wildland Trekking and Myriam, our guide, was extremely helpful, professional, and knowledgable. I recommend this trip for anyone looking for an adventurous escape. " - Risa C.

"Myriam's professionalism and love for Iceland's rugged nature came through every day! She was able to successfully balance the needs of everyone on the trek, from the teenagers to the retirees. I'd eagerly go back out into the backcountry on another guided trek with her in charge." - Jason W.
