Tour Description
Our Winter Rim to Rim to Rim hiking tour is a rare opportunity to hike the Grand Canyon's most famous trails, see both rims in the winter, have much of it all to yourself, and experience the amazingly diverse climates that exist in the Canyon.
Beginning on the South Rim we'll hike down the South Kaibab Trail, which has the best views in all of Grand Canyon. We'll continue our hike down to Bright Angel Campground and the Colorado River, where we'll enjoy moderate desert temperatures at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. From there we'll take 3 days to reach the North Rim and return to Bright Angel Campground, passing Ribbon Falls and Roaring Springs (two of Grand Canyon's most stunning water features) along the way. The few minutes we spend on the North Rim will provide a taste of winter at 8,000 feet, before we return to camp and the warmer temperatures of the inner canyon. Our loop hike back to the South Rim will take a final two or three days, with one last night spent at beautiful Indian Garden (the 5-day itinerary skips the last night at Indian Garden). This hike is a real opportunity to have the magic of the Canyon to yourself - give us a call at 800-715-4453 (HIKE) to learn more! Please note: Due to Grand Canyon's permit system, it's beneficial to register 5 months or more in advance, and you'll receive a 5% discount for doing so. Click here to read more. |
