The remote and rugged Never Summer Wilderness is the heart and soul of Rocky Mountain National Park. Towering peaks, crystal blue skies and cascading rivers mingle with the bugle of Elk and the cries of Bald Eagles in this incredible mountain ecosystem. The Never Summer Range is aptly named in that it is more often than not buried in deep snow. We'll backpack to these remote craggy peaks in the summertime, when a short window opens for exploration.
A five day, four night trek through the isolated Never Summers will offer you an opportunity to reconnect with nature in a stunning setting. Massive spires, glacial lakes and abundant wildlife combine to create this Colorado wilderness odyssey. An additional feature of this hike is the possibility of finding remnants of old ghost towns - remnants of the miners who flocked to these inhospitable mountains during the 1859 gold rush.
