As a 3 day strenuous or 4 day moderate hike, this Canadian Rockies backpacking adventure is one-of-a-kind! Rolling meadows and spectacular alpine scenery make this hike one of the most exceptional in the Canadian Rockies! A hike at the top of the world, it boasts 16 miles of above tree line hiking with expansive views and the possibility of seeing mountain caribou and other wildlife.
We begin by hiking through lodgepole pine and spruce/fir forests up to a sub alpine parkland. Half way through the trek you'll find yourself at "The Notch," the high point of the hike at 8,283 feet. Here you'll enjoy extraordinary views of the Athabaska Valley, Mount Edith Cavell, and even Mount Robson (50 miles away) on clear days. We wind our way out of the alpine, hiking back into the lush forests to end the trip, at which point you'll be just a short drive away from enjoying hot showers. This tour is truly an alpine adventure hike that you will never forget. Give us a call at 800-715-4453 (HIKE) book a spot.
