Built by the Sante Fe Railroad as a route to Hermit Camp, this historic trail leads us through fossil beds in the limestone and sandstone formations to Waldron Basin. Grandview Trail |

Originally used by native peoples of the Canyon, the Grandview Trail was rebuilt by miner Pete Berry in 1892 to access his Last Chance Copper Mine. Mining relics from a bygone era, far-ranging views and tremendous Inner Canyon scenery make this a perennial guide’s favorite. |

Tanner Trail |

Looking for a more adventurous day hike? This prehistoric trail was improved by Seth Tanner in the 1880s to reach mining claims and was at one time part of the Horse-thief Trail.
