This extraordinary backpacking trip combines the best of Rocky Mountain National Park into one exciting five day adventure. It features meadow hiking, plunging waterfalls, wildlife sighting opportunities, alpine hiking with spectacular mountain views, glaciers and alpine lakes.
We start our journey with a drive across the high country of Rocky Mountain National Park and begin our hiking at Summerland Park, a serene setting of mountain rivers, lakes and meadows. We then hike along mountain creeks and through stunning meadows, passing several waterfalls on the way, before we top out in the alpine country of the Continental Divide.
The second half of Day two and all of Day 3 feature amazing alpine hiking, where it feels you're literally hiking across the top of the world. We'll see Andrews Glacier on Day 2 and pass Ptarmigan Glacier on Day 3, before we drop back into the forests, creeks, waterfalls and meadows of the lower elevations for the final two days.
This trip is an unforgettable experience of Colorado's high country - don't miss it!
