This point-to-point backpacking route travels a sea of slickrock and offers challenging off-trail hiking and spectacular views. It's an opportunity to experience the best of the Utah's Canyon Country as we hike to Sand Creek, Death Hollow, and Mamie Creek - all noteable destinations in and of themselves. These are beautiful drainages with outstanding camping, lush oases, and endless hiking opportunities. It's diversity and beauty is the draw of this hike, but it also played an important role in America's history as it was used to deliver mail and supplies between the towns of Boulder and Escalante in the early 1900s.
