BANFF'S SAWBACK TRAIL

"I must tell you that as my first hiking trip the Banff's Sawback Trail was amazing. I had done a few day hikes in the mountains but nothing prepared me for the scenery and solitude of being away from 'civilization' like that. It felt very freeing, and I can't wait to do it again."

Tour Description

Our Sawback Backpacking Tour is Banff’s crown jewel of backcountry hiking adventures. On this five-day trip we hike past limestone peaks and over three alpine passes. Starting from Johnston Canyon and finishing at Lake Louise, this tour encompasses a variety of terrain, including deep water-carved canyons, forested valleys, marshes, lakes, and alpine country. Day three of the route is a layover day where we'll hike up to Badger pass for a view of the Bonnet Glacier. The route also represents prime habitat for a number of different wildlife species, including grizzly bears, wolves, wolverines, big horn sheep, mountain goats, and hoary marmots.

This backpacking trip truly is a grand hiking adventure. To learn more or reserve your spot, call us at 800-715-4453 (HIKE) and get it started today!
