The Bechler River Valley features many of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem's most fascinating geothermal and biological wonders. This route is arguably the crown jewel of Yellowstone hiking because it quite literally has it all - broad meadows, a diversity of plants and animals, and intermittent thermal features. And as an added bonus, we pass two breathtaking waterfalls and have the opportunity to enjoy soaking in two different hot springs along the way!

The Gallatin Crest Traverse utilizes a little known route in extreme northwest Yellowstone that straddles the crest of the picturesque Gallatin Mountains. The hike features the best views in the park, crystalline lakes, lush meadows, beautiful valleys, and an abundance of wildlife. Shelf Lake, the backdrop for camp on nights 3 & 4, is the park’s highest lake at 9,200 feet.
