A backpacking trip means you'll be sleeping in a tent that we provide on a comfortable, inflatable air/foam mattress and sleeping bag (you can request to share a tent with others in your party or to have one to yourself). On a standard backpacking trip, you'll be carrying between 25 and 35 pounds of gear in a top-of-the-line, fitted backpack. On our mule-assisted trips, mules carry the gear and you'll hike with only a light day pack.
Note: if you'd like to do a standard backpacking trip but prefer not to carry the gear, we offer porter services for $225 per porter per day.
